Cultural And Racial Groups In Foster Care:

Participants agreed that they have no way of knowing if there are more children from one particular cultural or racial group in foster care. Most thought that the primary factor influencing whether children would be in foster care was not race, but rather the income level of their parents.

·       It's an issue of economics. I would have to say poor families have their children in foster care more often. Rich parents can hide it.

Some participants speculated that, if there are more children from one race or culture in foster care, it is probably because there are fewer people in that race or culture who can afford to adopt children.
