[21]The focus group research summarized here represents residents' perceptions of services for children at risk of abuse and neglect in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, and San Diego California. Triad Research Group Inc. conducted forty-one group events, with all groups stratified appropriately by age, gender, county, zip code, and ethnicity. There was one all Hispanic group and two predominately African American groups. Participants were recruited that mirrored the populations of the counties where the specific focus groups were held.
